This strong debut LP from Vancouver’s Autumn Portrait is a user friendly mix of edgy power pop with a nod to Canadian bands like The Northern Pikes, The Odds and Sam Roberts. The band is tight and you’ll find a few really great rockers on here. The songs “Carousel” and “The City” really show off a sense of punk urgency while the album’s closer “The Light” is a gem of a ballad that showcases passionate song writing with a keen sense of melody. I look forward to what’s to come from this talented young band.
